Problem Note 42264: The SAS® Deployment Manager fails to complete the SAS® Marketing Optimization middle-tier configuration

DetailsAboutRate It

In SAS Marketing Optimization, the middle-tier configuration script fails when configuration tasks such as Rebuild Web Applications and Remove Existing Configuration are run from the SAS Deployment Manager.

Perform the following steps to correct the problem:

  1. Navigate to the SAS-installation-directory/SASMarketingOptimizationMidTier/5.3/Config directory.
  2. Make a backup copy of the mktoptmid_config.xml file.
  3. Edit the original mktoptmid_config.xml file scroll, as follows:
    1. Scroll to lines 117 and 118, which should look similar to the following:
      user="${oma.person.admin.login.userid}" password="${oma.person.admin.login.passwd}"
    2. Change lines 117 and 118 to the following values:
      user="${metadata.connection.userid}" password="${metadata.connection.passwd}"
    3. Scroll to lines 137 and 138, which should look similar to the following:
      user="${oma.person.admin.login.userid}" password="${oma.person.admin.login.passwd}"
    4. Change lines 137 and 138 to the following values:
      user="${metadata.connection.userid}" password="${metadata.connection.passwd}"
  4. Save and close mktoptmid_config.xml.
